Welcome to the Volunteer Page for Aging 2008!

If you'd like to volunteer on the day of the event, please email our coordinator Jeff Hall, including your location and time availability.

Here's what you can do to help before the event:

  • 1) Write about Aging 2008 on your blog. Promotional materials, including banners, buttons, and flyers are on the promote page. This page also includes videos of Aubrey de Grey, including his TED Talk, appearance on the Colbert Report, and special invitation to Aging 2008. You can also link back to the Aging 2008 main page. Let us know about your post and we'll add a link to you in the event blogroll. Every blogger who calls attention to this event is providing immense help!

  • 2) Promote Aging 2008 on social networks and mailing lists. You can use our press release for mailing lists, and use the Events RSVP feature on social networks like Facebook and MySpace. (Do remember to register at the Aging 2008 site itself, though.) Be sure to post the link to the event (http://mfoundation.org/Aging2008/), and maybe a link to one of the videos on our promote page.

  • 3) Help us get pre-event coverage in radio, TV, print, and online. Please send our press release to any media contacts you have, and write to radio stations in the LA area. Email or call national TV and print publications to encourage them to cover the event.

  • 4) Post or hand out flyers and postcards at colleges, bookstores, etc., in LA and surrounding areas. Our flyers are here (color) and here (grayscale), and our postcard is here.
